Mediation
Mediation is a voluntary process in which an impartial and neutral third party (a mediator) assists parties to create a mutually acceptable solution to their problem. I meet with parties to help narrow the issue(s) and facilitate techniques to improve communications, help with conflict management and negotiations. Whether your dispute is a family, or civil, or Landlord & Tenant matter, I generally travel to a mutual location to meet with parties. My fee is based on time and travel. Coaching
I conduct private relationship coaching sessions individually or with couples. Whether the focus is relationship building, or better communication, I work with individuals and couples that are dating, are married, or divorced. I also work with families looking to explore better communication and understanding conflicts. I explore and use various techniques to build confidence, connection awareness or bridging better communication. Empowerment techniques are also used in helping to set boundaries, and work life balance. My experience also extends to working through relationship conflicts.
My sessions are either in person, (depending on location) or conducted through a remote platform. Sessions are conducted in either 30 or 45 min. bookings and are typically booked by weekly, however a scheduling plan can be evaluated to determine what is best required. An initial free 15 min. consultation is conducted to determine if Coaching is the right fit. All appointments must be booked in advance. Same day scheduling is currently not available.
Coaching is not Therapy. Coaching is to help individuals in understanding how to try and achieve a more fulfilling life, a more rewarding career, or more effective interaction with others. This is typically done through various exercises. Therapy works towards understanding why a person is behaving in particular ways in order to come to a place of mental wellness; coaching is more geared towards how a person can make behavioural changes to reach a particular goal. Therapy also digs into the past, in order to establish the roots of current issues. Life coaching occasionally explores a client’s past, but does so in order to recall successes and in sources of inspiration. Life coaches start in the client’s present and work with them toward a better future.
